Lighthouse’s Financial Stability
Lighthouse Computer Services was founded in 1995 with the goal of building long-term technology partnerships with mid to large size enterprises and is privately owned and operated by Tom Mrva, our CEO. Lighthouse has grown to become a trusted IT services provider to over 400 leading companies throughout the Northeast, offering consulting, integration, and maintenance services on the latest hardware and software technologies.
Regional Presence
The philosophy of our success begins with the belief that a regionally-based organization is better able to establish and sustain customer-focused business relationships within the IT industry. Since inception, Lighthouse has grown into a $100+ million company serving the IT needs of leading businesses in the Northeast, including many Fortune 500 companies across many industry segments including financial, health care, retail, education, insurance and utilities. Our regional success has helped us become the leading IBM Premier Business Partner in the Northeast.
Recognized Leader
Lighthouse’s success has not gone unnoticed. The company has been recognized by Inc. magazine for its quick growth within the United States and by Deloitte & Touche’s Fast 50, which recognizes the fastest growing technology companies in New England. Renowned Growth
With over $117M in sales in 2008 and a 10-year average revenue growth rate of almost 30%, Lighthouse is financially stable and among the strongest of any IBM Premier Business Partner in the US. Our ability to sustain growth for several years in a row, with total sales more than doubling since 2004 has afforded us the opportunity to increase headcount by almost 25% three-years running.
Proactive Readiness
Lighthouse is constantly changing and reinventing ourselves to stay competitive. In 2004, we reorganized the services organization into seven specialized IT practices. Many of these specialized services including virtualization, storage, security, content management and compliance will assist us in addressing pressing IT issues in this challenging economy. Our best forecasts predict that customers will continue to maximize the use of technology to improve efficiency, achieve cost savings and gain competitive advantage. Customers will rely on our expertise to standardize IT infrastructures, finance new systems, utilize virtualization strategies to consolidate servers and achieve greener IT, meet new and existing compliance regulations (Sarbanes-Oxley), and mitigate and manage internal and external threats to network security.
Prudent Reinvestment
To grow and develop our solutions offerings, Lighthouse continues to invest strategically in the future including almost $1.5M in 2008 for our Lighthouse Gateway Software-as-a-Service solution, Virtualization and Websphere offerings, and approximately $1M in 2007 for our Security and Enterprise Content Management practices. These investments have resulted in over 50% growth in our services revenues last year alone and 29% over a three year average. Our investment also includes continued and on-going development of our state-of-the-art Business Partner Innovation Center (BPIC) equipped with more than $2M in hardware and software. We are proud to note, that all corporate investments have been funded internally without any need to borrow externally resulting in very low debt to equity ratios. The ongoing investment in our solution areas and our commitment to customer satisfaction has been the driving force for opening new doors and engaging competitive accounts. Lighthouse added more than 80 new accounts in 2006 and 2007, with another 50+ created in 2008.
Lighthouse is well positioned to sustain growth and succeed in today's challenging economy. The company will continue to impact the marketplace with its innovative solutions, top-notch staff, customer satisfaction and value delivered.
